If you'll notice that half of the community is torn apart and nobody reads stuff, that's because half of them have defederated from #MastodonSocial. ("Half" is an inaccurate word, as I was lazy in my research.) NOT the brightest decision, but I'd say understandable. It's just very popular with bots and other bad actors, as any central place.
