Someone sent me a good quote recently that said you read with your mind, not your eyes, so that would encompass all forms of books π€· regardless of how your mind got the information.
Yeah. I *think* the point of it (not having the original quote or source to review) is that the actual work goes on in the brain and the senses are a conduit, which would make them all equal as far as getting information from texts go. So eyes are "seeing" and ears are "hearing" the words while the brain work is putting them together in "reading." Anyway, I found that interesting, but haven't had the time to explore it further.
@moehrenfeld @Natasha_Jay This is *such* a pet peeve of mine. π‘ Reading & listening are completely different activities and use different senses. How is this controversial?
It's not a judgment on the activity, it's just being precise.
