Y'all, I'm out. This does sound like it'll be certified sickos movie though.
@uncoolmouse I'm not a film fan in general, I do get the vibe that Wuthering Heights is intentionally romance flavoured horror from the beginning. Still too much romance for me, but once in a while I do love the kind of romance flavoured horror where the writer really knows how to craft a horror.

@BigShellEvent the actual book or this particular adaptation? I only read a handful of 19th century classics, and this wasn't one of them, but the trailer and the reviews for this film adaptation are making this out to be a hot sexy romance (that's also strategically timed to release on the Valentine's Day weekend) so I'm definitely getting the vibe that this isn't for me 😅

That said I can get behind a romance flavoured horror, and especially if it has commentary on class

@uncoolmouse I'm talking about the book. The film really feels like missing the point

@BigShellEvent got it! Yeah that's the impression it gave me too. Maybe I'll put the book on my reading list.

Btw I'm just about to get my hands on Earthlings, and I'm looking forward to going through that!

@uncoolmouse um ok content warning. Everything imaginable basically. Also avoid allos discussing it because allos are gonna allo
@BigShellEvent oh 😅 thanks for the heads up! I appreciate the warnings!
