#SirSqueakertonTheFirst would like everyone to know that Scrub Daddy sponges feel good on one's skritchy spots.
I don't like reusing sponges. All I can think about is the bacteria and mold growing in them. I don't use them often, and when I do I cut off a chunk to use.
@aleen I have reusable cellulose sponges that can be thrown into the dishwasher to clean. It works quite well. (But I prefer paper towels in most situations, too.)
@aleen The way I think about it is akin to the slowly-dirtying soapy water in the sink — its purpose is to loosen, scrub, and apply surfactant to the dirty dishes, causing the dirty stuff to almost entirely come off, but at least come loose, then get rinsed away clean with the rinse water. That rinse doesn't touch sponge, soap, or sink first. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@aleen
Microwave. It kills all that.

Also, soap gets rid of it too.

@aleen My dad was such a fan every time he left one by the sink, I would put it in the washer. Very ick factor.
