Seems more like a premise than a joke.

The joke is the implication of what he’s fencing in the womb.

I got what they’re going for, it’s just that they stopped before they made it funny.
Humor is subjective
Which is why I’m criticizing it as being half of a joke.

OP appears to be another comic bot. A few hours old and posts nothing but a handful of comics.

Tons of these accounts have been cropping up since early January. A lot of the accounts delete themselves after a couple days. I have no idea what the goal is, but the comics these accounts post tend to be either really mediocre (like how this one is more of a premise than a joke) or purposefully have some sort of divisive content (often about gender).

I hope that the goal is just to get people engaged in the comments and grow Lemmy, but this being the internet I can’t help but wonder if there’s something more nefarious going on.

I hope that the goal is just to get people engaged in the comments and grow Lemmy

They could do that with legitimate accounts, even if they were bots, there’s no need to have multiple bots that delete themselves (though it seems now the bots aren’t deleting the accounts). I agree, there’s a bigger purpose with these.

So that’s how Charlie survived the abortion!

Minimum requirement for birth for any baby born to a left wing mother in the Western hemisphere starting 2026.
Neat, modern day Spartans.
At least ONE person got the joke.
Wtf are you even talking about?

It’s a **joke **on pro-abortion movements in the left wing political spectrum.

The joke plays on the exaggerated view that modern left wing or “liberal” women don’t want kids and will therefore try to abort every pregnancy they have in favour of being independent and to adopt more cats. Following that logic, it becomes a “minimum requirement” for babies of left wing women to be able to fence off the abortion equipment in the womb to have a chance of being carried to term and be born.

it’s not a joke. it’s you projecting your delusional biases. go meet real ppl instead of making them up.
The sad irony is unwanted babies tend to grow up without the parental involvement and financial backing required to become a successful sports person.
Yes, so we should murder people who don’t have finances! More money for the billionaires, eh?
Please explain how abortions mean more money for billionaires.
Because then there’s less pressure for the state to pay proper welfare. I recently learned that the United States doesn’t have guaranteed maternity leave! “Oh, we don’t do maternity leave, just have an abortion” the illusion of choice in a world ruled by billionaires!

From a billionaire’s perspective, more at risk children means more people to be exploited. There’s a whole industry fed by cheap prison labor. Orphans who go through the prison system are incarcerated or arrested at nearly 50% much of which gets funneled into cheap labor.

It seems like you’re not from the US, but it doesn’t matter how many working class votes we have, many industries in this country thrive off of exploitation of people outside of the view of the general populace starting with slaves, continuing to indentured servants, and undocumented workers now. The next exploitable labor pool is the prison system, and children who would have been aborted are sent to foster care instead where they are funneled into the criminal justice system.

I’m not saying you should have an abortion just so the child doesn’t potentially end up in jail, I’m just pointing out how the incentives to have a permanent underclass would actually support bans on abortion.

I’m wondering if you’re maybe thinking of the book Freakonomics where they attribute the legalization of abortion with the drop in crime?

Mtha5 hasn’t been mu experience. But all the pro athletes I know so MMA and Kick Boxing.
Damn. This is 90% pathetic and the rest is cringe. This is like advanced boomer humor, but for idiots.
Check out OP’s history
Holy shit. They used three accounts to downvote all the comments I’ve made in the last day or so (all comments above the posts in my history). That’s incredibly pathetic. Hahaha!
This is political agitprop again, from a fresh account as usual.
