evin@xvln um, since this is so good... would you mind talking about how you make this? like do you draw this purely from imagination and experience, or do you get references images of similar poses from somewhere? asking because i need advice about how to approach drawing complex poses like this
@evin that said i also used one of those websites that would show you a person in a complex pose and you'd have to draw them from reference in 15 minutes or something. and i'd do that for a couple hours at a time (gogo hyperfocus). the ones i used don't seem to be up anymore, but <https://www.sketchdaily.net> seems to be the same idea. doing this got me _a lot_ better at drawing complex poses
@evin at some point i'd like to post like a progress video the way people do. unfortunately at the moment the thought of doing so gives me bad anxiety
something i'm working on with a therapist is why posting art in general was giving me anxiety, i have/had this fear that people will look at it really closely and realize i actually suck lol, and with a progress video that's amplified many times, like y'all will see my process and realize i'm a fraud. i know it's silly, but brains are dumb

@xvln @evin i do get it though, to an extent. i post gameplay videos on youtube, so there's really no avoiding the whole "videos make it easier to spot me doing something dumb" feeling. but i think as a result, i learned to just take it in stride and even highlight those moments, like "haha, look at this sus af dodge".
for my current tevi playthrough (that's on hiatus), my thumbnail theme has mainly been all the stupid things i got away with that i really shouldn't have 
so i'd say, give it a shot!
@rgbunny @evin i'll try at some point. right now i have slightly bigger problems i'm focusing on. the fact that i'm posting art again at all is a big step for me (i didn't/couldn't for a whole year), so i don't want to push things too hard and go back to where i'm too anxious about it.
(it doesn't help that my workflow is stupid and involves multiple programs so i'd have to stitch a video together)
