The anime ending is unsettling, since she basically got away with murder and seems intent on tying up all loose ends. Yikes.

Checked the cast list and mostly guessed them correctly with a few exceptions. Shirakawa the nurse was voiced by Lauren Landa when I thought she sounded like Wendee Lee. And I didn't peg Mike McFarland for Odokawa either but he did a great job. Everyone else I more or less guessed correctly.

Also that was one hell of a twist ending for the final episode! Everyone merely appearing to be anthropomorphic animals because of a defect in Odokawa's brain. When they rescue him and presumably treat his condition, when he comes to he sees the doctor and nurse Shirakawa as they actually are, as people. Shirakawa's an attractive brunette and the doc has a big beard. The camera turns around and we see Odokawa as he really is, and the individual he's been talking to in his apartment is an actual stray cat who wandered in and adopted him.
That was a wild twist and I enjoyed it. Shirakawa was really pretty, too. I liked the slow reveal of the rest of the cast as the final episode played out.
@GenXotaku1971 Yeah, it was a light hearted funny animal show until the end when I realized that it had dealt with a lot of fairly serious social issues. Memorable last minute shift in perspective.
