Yep.
Usually something mid sized or short. Maybe a story that covers one of your ideas/ head canon, or just something you're proud of.

That's good. It's one of the things I am always surprised about FanFiction. The way you buy a commercial book and struggle to get through it, and then you read a 300,000 word fanwork in a week.

I found out that my perfect writing length is Novella (around 10,000 -15, 000 words or so). I also like very short drabbles (Especially 221Bs) because they feel to me like poetry.
If you can do very long works that's a real skill. Good Luck with it.
