Did Zendesk have a compromise? I’ve gotten a dozen “new account” spam emails from various Zendesk installs over the last day.
Zendesk tickets hijacked in massive spam campaign

Someone is sending hundreds of pointless emails to people, using Zendesk's ticketing system.

@getajobmike I got one yesteday (my first). Tho I've heard about this issue being ongoing for months now.
@adam12 @getajobmike I’ve gotten supposedly signed up for a dozen or so services support sites to weird email names pointed at my domain. I have wildcard emails setup for distinct services on Fastmail. Diddy and Epstein @ my tld has been most common. They all look like they’re from zendesk.
@caleb @adam12 exactly my experience too, we musta been in the same data dump.

@getajobmike yes, this is the 3rd or 4th wave of those emails, I was reporting that yesterday:

Since Zendesk already sent an advisor, apparently then it seems like a "it's your problem now, suckers." situation:

Attached: 2 images This morning I did receive five (5) notification of services created on my behalf using GitHub-related (and #discord) email accounts: - Canary Mail - Angel Studios - Quora - Branded - Cardi.Health - (new since posted) - Replika - VSCO - Medium - Headspace - Commuinity.com - Survive the ARK - Jimdo - Dropbox I'm still not sure if this still an issue with the last #zendesk breach or an ongoing #GitHub one.

@getajobmike @esparta I don't know, if google sends all mails from your system straight to spam, how many people will keep keep using your email support system?
@mark @getajobmike of course the SPAM problem is still Zendesk problem - it looks like Google is not penalizing them, I meant that it looks like Zendesk don't care if your Inbox is full of SPAM they produce, in my case even if I block them it still counts against my email quota, and I might be susceptible of either own my email provider money or be penalized by not receiving real important emails.
@getajobmike @esparta in my case i think 4 out of 5 of these mails went to spam. If they keep ignoring it it won't go well for zendesk either
@getajobmike I’ve received over 400 across two email accts
Zendesk spam wave returns, floods users with 'Activate account' emails

A fresh wave of spam is hitting inboxes worldwide, with users reporting that they are once again being bombarded by automated emails generated through companies' unsecured Zendesk support systems. Some recipients say they are receiving hundreds of messages with strange or alarming subject lines. such as 'Activate account...'

@getajobmike they had a dry-run two weeks ago and ZenDesk support absolutely did not want to hear it. Someone spoofed my email and I got emails from two dozen tickets from different zendesk customers
@getajobmike as an extra note, ZenDesk checked neither SPF nor DKIM, they'll just accept email from wherever
