This is not hard to understand! It's been obvious for a long time that using these tools is basically bikeshedding with lead paint. And folks know this, and they do it anyway.

@thomaswilburn Extractive technologies which are inherently at odds with ecological sustainability are nothing new. I'm just sad to see this happening now in the digital space…as if nobody has learned a damn thing by how our planet has been severely harmed IRL. ☹️
