I know plenty of others who swig from their coffee mugs as if it's a decent beer, but that's not for me any more.
Refined taste, perhaps, but coffee seems to sit heavily on my stomach these days.

I did coffee 100% wrongly.
In my 20s, needed but didn’t like, so much cream & sugar.
In 30s-40s, café chains & K-cups multiplied, learned there were some I liked black.
50s, learned to save money with grinder & #FrenchPress …then #Moka pot, then #Espresso machine.
About age 58, learned heart palpitations were caffeine.
Place we buy beans has many choices of origin & roast. But ONE decaf. Fortunately, I like it, but I wish to try others I cannot.
I went through similar experiences, but never had cream with my coffee, only full fat milk. In London, Paris and Germany, special roasts in wonderful cafés, small cups, an enjoyment more than anything else, but often black for the taste.
Now, occasionally a factory coffee - as I call them - when I have a long wait, otherwise a self-ground blend but not too often. Also palpitations - which can be useful when I really do not want to sit in the office and do nothing.
