Has anyone done a SQUARESPACE MIGRATION / DOMAIN ACTIVATION?
It's supposed to take 24 hours, but it's been a day and a half, and our company site is still "pending domain verification".
Is this normal?
Any ideas for how to solve in the meantime? Is setting up a redirect worthwhile at this point or should I just wait for a few hours?
@Beta been many years since I’ve done this last but:
you need to prove ownership by altering one of the domains public records to match the account (a cname record).
How fast the records change are dependent on the system that governs the records (dns server), really slow ones take days, but usually it’s just a few hours.
Most likely is that you entered the information with typo or on the wrong format.
If you use cloudflare for DNS, then make sure to turn off proxy mode (the yellow cloud)
