This bunny is thinking about buying a Hario V60 Switch. The fact that it allows both immersion and percolation brewing intrigues me.
And I don't have any percolation brewer yet either, I want to experiment with that.
I am, however, confused about the sizes, so I want to ask fedi before buying. There are 3 sizes, helpfully named 01, 02 and 03 (/sarcasm). Hario's website claims that 01 brews 1 to 2 cups, 02 brews 1 to 4 cups, and 03 brews 1 to 6 cups.
How much is a cup? It could mean so many different volumes: a US legal cup (240ml), a metric cup (250ml), a US coffee cup (118ml), a metric coffee cup (150ml), a UK cup (~170ml), a Japanese cup (200ml), something else entirely? So, how much coffee would I expect to be able to brew on each size, really?
Is there any disadvantage of buying the biggest size (other than the higher price)? It seems, to me, that bigger sized brewers can accommodate the smaller paper filters and would brew smaller quantities equally to smaller sized ones. Am I wrong?
please?
