Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Thursday. Good news yesterday, our friend Peter is having a care package sorted out and is coming home soon!👍#NHSScotland

I'm off to Buckie today. MrsD is having her legs waxed, and toe nails done. She can't put shoes on until it hardens so I'm driving. Wesley was due a haircut today in Buckie but they had to postpone for a week. Bummer! (With a gg!)

Have a great day. Have fun, take care.

Good morning MrD

Good news about your friend!

I'm sure MrsD will feel very happy after her pamper session. No doubt there will be the opportunity to do a bit of shopping too 😁

I don't think Wesley will mind waiting a bit longer for his pamper session. He's probably more interested in being able to go for proper walks again 🙂

We had a nice Nando's last night, first time we've only ordered on course and it was waiting for me when I went to pick it up.

Have a good day!

@Steampunk_Prof MrsD loves the pampering sessions. Wesley doesn't like his. It's only a week's delay. He's had his final pain killer today, so once the effects wear off, the next 2-3 days are going to be interesting. We'll see if he's ok, or if another trip to the vet is needed.

Peter's care package will help with his medical problems. He has a few! Time will tell in that respect.

Nandos! I haven't been for a while, we don't have many up here, just healthy eating places! 😀😀😀 #ScottishDiet

@NormanDunbar
Hmm, if my memory serves me right, Scottish take-aways consist of something deep fried, like Mars bars or bananas 😁

Fingers crossed for Wesley, don't want any more vet bills 😱

Keep getting pictures on the BBC news of the area around where my youngest lives, something to do with the bit of rain we've had.

@Steampunk_Prof Hope your youngest isn't affected!

Chip shop food mainly is deep fried, but also grilled and backed in some places. With or without batter!

DF Mars bars, hmm, apparently invented in a Stonehaven chippie. Never had one.

DF Creme Eggs are, apparently, an Ipswich favourite. Go figure!

The Scottish diet is a healthy one with lots of tray bakes, cake, chips, sweets, puddings, haggis (farm reared these days) and fruit/veg if unavoidable! 😉

And trifle. With jelly.

@NormanDunbar
Yes, the Scots have an amazingly healthy diet. Mind you, I don't think global warming has been kind. It's easy to burn calories when it's freezing cold all year round, but now you have warm weather up there that survival strategy is no longer effective 😁

I don't like deep fried food all that much, so DFMs are safe from me.

I've not tried haggis but then I think of their cute little faces and I think, no, definitely not for me 😂

@Steampunk_Prof I've never had a DFM or any other DF chocolate bar! I shudder at the thought.

People joke about the Scots never eating fruit, well I'm stuffing a Strawberry Tart down my neck as I type, so that put paid to that particular joke! 🤣

I like the occasional DF food, but I couldn't eat it often. I know what you mean about haggis faces, while I sort of agree, they have such a nice taste as well!
