Just watched the new @TechConnectify video. I was completely caught off guard by how awesome it is, although I like Alec's videos in general. But this one hits different.

And I'll spoil the surprise here, for reasons.

If you're like me, you might think: "I guess I know most of what's important to know about renewable energy. Well, I'll watch it anyway?" And maybe after 30 to 60 minutes you'll consider to stop watching, because most of it isn't news for you.

But stopping there would be a pity.

In the last third of the video, Alec gets political. In the best possible way.

And as he'll explain very well, his videos have always been political. Maybe not in the way many people consider "political", or maybe to subtle too notice for some of his viewers.

In that last third of the video, there's no doubt about being political and no subtleness at all. It's direct, it's powerful, it's bold.

And for many of you, the information is not new. You probably know what's going on in the USA. I do.

But still, hearing it all in this context, from this person, on this channel, in this way...

It's one of the best political speeches I've heard in a long time.

I don't know any demographic details about Alec's viewership, but I think that video might reach a huge number of old, white, apolitical men who needed this political rant much more than I did. I believe it will have an impact.

Thank you, Alec. @TechConnectify

@lenaschimmel Oh wow. I just watched the full video because of your post, and yes, you're very right. It was a bit unexpected but extremely good.

Everyone should watch this video. The first hour is very informative, even if you already know the important things about renewable energy. But the last third is an extremely good speech and wake-up call about US politics (but also very applicable to global politics in general, sadly).

Thank you @TechConnectify for speaking up!
