What a weekend at FOSDEM 2026! 🙌

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to meet the team, try out the Jolla Phone appearance model, and take a look at the latest progress on the community ports. The hands-on feedback on ergonomics and the excitement around the return of The Other Half really meant a lot to us.

A special thank you as well to everyone who joined the community meetup at À La Becasse. Good conversations, good company, and a shared passion for Sailfish OS. Seeing so many Birds of a Feather come together in Brussels was a great reminder of what this community is all about.

If you want to relive the moments or see more photos from FOSDEM and the meetup, we’ve collected them in this forum thread:

You are the heart of Jolla. See you at the next one. ❤️❤️❤️

@jolla What about the watches in your video? Is Sailfish OS running on them and will there be a real smartwatch with Sailfish OS in the (near) future?
@jolla @mojojo the watches were running @AsteroidOS iirc
@mojojo @jolla
Sorry for the late answer, as @pak0st mentioned, the snippet shows AsteroidOS watches themed to look like the Jolla Watch concept from 2016. Its a fan homage meant to bring some joy to the largely shared SailfishOS and AsteroidOS communities. Since AsteroidOS was the base for the Jolla Watch concept, it might be interesting to see what the AsteroidOS community has achieved since then, with our - currently in testing - to be publicly announced 2.0 release next week.
@jolla what device is this? And is it Sailfish OS running on it?
@jolla @decibyte that's a PinePhone and yes, this unit is running SailfishOS
@jolla I'm also wondering about the watches and especially pebble as I will soon own a second one.
