Make it make sense: My local news media is reporting on places where people may have been exposed to measles. There is no mention of COVID by our news sites, even though COVID risks in Milwaukee are higher than they've been in nine months.

Research indicates that COVID killed 100,000 Americans in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. Measles killed 3 Americans last year.

COVID kills 33,000x more people, yet we get headlines about measles and silence about #COVID19.

@Wildflower01 Flu does seem to be declining throughout most of the US. I had expected subclade K to make this an extended flu season, but it's not happening thus far. (Take those upticks at the end with a grain of salt--WastewaterSCAN has partial and highly variable data in the last couple of days, so I don't take sudden increases or decreases very seriously.)
