POV: you're a state agency serving the disabled. it's not uncommon for Deaf & hard-of-hearing people to access your services. Nobody who works shifts at the front desk can sign. What should you do to improve access?

a. teach the 8 clerical staff basic sign for when they are at the front desk. cost ~$150per person.
b. continue having clients use paper & pencil and lip-read to communicate
c. spend over $3000 on UbiDuo technology to "eliminate bluffing, frustration and Communiphobia"

@rtpuppydog so this is essentially 2 chromebooks but worse?
@rtpuppydog what is happening at the back corners of each of these that make it look like they got dragged through a gravel parking lot on the way here
@rtpuppydog yeah but if you teach employees a skill they might quit and take that skill with them, while gadgets will stay in the office (until they break in six months)
@funkula Would you believe what happened the first time we needed to use the UbiDuo at the front desk yesterday?
If you guessed "it got stuck on a reboot error" you'd be right
