@leeuw@inpc "AI" is a program run on a computer to make it pretend to be alive; when people see it doing exactly what it was designed to do, some of them are deeply impressed by the claim to sentience.
@leeuw@inpc I'm assuming it's related to some "news" saying this or that AI model "confirmed" or "revealed" something, when it's basically spitting out the requested text without any actual reasoning behind.
