The way white people try to defend bigots like they exist outside of the context of history like a bad sci fi movie is a dead giveaway they are sympathetic to racism and hate.

And I’m never going to vibe with anyone that just ignores the persistence of systemic hate and inequality because they need to believe their friends aren’t bigots.

We’re literally watching ICE kidnap, gas, torture and kill people on a daily basis, but somehow, magically it just happened because most people ‘don’t understand how bad society is.’

Get the fuck outta my face with that bullshit.
What’s happening in the US and most western countries is not complicated at all.

There is a distinct and obvious line of how we got to this point that is clearly described by the consistency of white identified people choosing hate at every single opportunity.

That’s is not a debatable point.

And anyone who is trying to debate this reality is just defending white supremacy by trying to obfuscate the obviousness of its influence and its central role as the primary driver of destruction on a societal scale.
@are0h In Germany, the fascists were also really good at leveraging the fear during the pandemic's lockdowns to get a foot in the psychological door and make people think they were on their side. Second step, flood them with hate to get them to hate BIPOC too.
@gunchleoc Yeah, that’s just replication of a pattern that’s been happening for a long time.

Usually they fabricate a scenario to lather up that fear, i.e. immigration, as a vector to carry their hate.

The pandemic was just a convenient context to deploy their rhetoric, but they do that all the time.
@are0h nowhere in that conversation did i say "nah there isn't systemic hatred and oppression", i literally said your average streetwalkers are 1) indoctrinated into believing evil, often by other names, is on some level necessary, and 2) more complicated than you make them out to be; and here you go making a caricature out of _me_ and putting words in my mouth? i was just trying to have a conversation and you just haaad to have the last word, and then do something like this? not everyone is going to take the same hardline position as you; i should know, i'm often in that position myself. but it doesn't give you a free pass to just be confrontational and make these kinds of accusations about people's character just because they don't 100% agree with you
