Today's adventures with #fibrechannel switching. The electronics store had a rs232 cable which worked. I've logged in with the factory default root password.

The management Ethernet port has an address on my subnet now.

I can't log in because the SSH setup is too old for public keys to be exchanged. From the switch side, you grab the public key using scp also too old to connect to my SSH server.

I suppose I could put Debian Wheezy on a VM. But it's probably more secure to keep using serial.

I have one port online. Ready to bring up the second HBA and see if I can re-establish the connection that I had wired peer-to-peer a couple of days ago. There's no reason it shouldn't work, right?

Two devices online, but no connection between them.

lsscsi no longer shows the remove block device

Do I have to add an ACL for the switch also?

Or maybe it's something with targetcli I have to reconfigure.

Time for some more learning.
