China just prohibited hidden door handles on new cars starting in 2027, apparently requiring retrofits by 2029 on cars already there.
NFG@johnlogic I've always wondered why they don't default to OUT, and only close flush with the body while in motion or safely powered. Seems like that would have avoided the strong solution.
@NFG that's just the handle on the outside of the door. If the power fails while you're inside and you can't find a hidden emergency release, you could be cooked.
