Organic Maps is in top 5 free Navigation apps in the US AppStore.

@organicmaps

Unfortunately, without traffic data, it is not useful for road traffic in metropolitan areas, but otherwise it is excellent.

@organicmaps @GTRzilla Agreed. Any plans to integrate that in major cities? There is plenty of open data to scrape from.

@GTRzilla @organicmaps What about that deprecated implementation in the codebase? (don't know if it's still there but it was last time I checked) Will it be based on that, or will it be an entirely new system?

And therefore, any ETA?

I would greatly appreciate your answers as many people I know have been willing to make the switch, but some really look like they can't afford to "lose" those features.

@f @GTRzilla old experimental implementation didn’t support live feeds and updates. To compete with other big players, live schedules is a must.
@organicmaps The other 4 apps are not free, you just don't have to pay money for them.
I paid money for Organic Maps because it's free.
@organicmaps Cool. And #3 doesn't even seem to be a navigation app.

@organicmaps

That is beautiful

@organicmaps Why do you have spyware like Waze and Google Maps installed, but not your own app? 😹

@aubrey

Maybe it's because @organicmaps has downloaded its app through TestFlight for beta testing? πŸ€”

@m4963 @organicmaps Maybe, I never developed for iOS, so I don't really know how it works there. I was just trying to be funny 😸
@aubrey Organic Maps beta is installed. We need to know competitors well to make Organic Maps better.
