all right, i think my days of paying for capture one to organize my digital photo collection are nearly over: how rough would it be to switch to darktable or digikam?

i tested darktable for a few minutes it felt very 'open source' (pejorative). i like capture one quite a bit but not enough to justify $200/yr

@tmcw there is also https://rawtherapee.com/ similar to darktable.

The UI was more intuitive to me, perhaps try. YMMV

Used it on Linux for hobby and a bit for work too.

Hogs memory when editing large files (200-400MP satellite imagery). But it did fine otherwise.
