I’ve been on a bit of a printing tear lately. Who says you can’t print a 35mm negative at 13” x 19”. I wanted to see how this photo looked printed as large as I could on my Epson P900. I love this printer. I love printing.
@tomnorthfilm I am terrible at printing! I've finally got an Epson ET-8550 and can make black and white prints that really are. But it's so much trial and error! Printing a #PostCardFromAfar and I printed 3 b&w scenes on 7x5, one twice, then the selected low key scene 3 times on matte and twice on oyster, before getting somewhere near acceptable. All using ABW and printing via EPL. 1/2
@carusb Black and white is tough for the Epson dye based printers. Epson AWB is the way to go for B&W.
@tomnorthfilm @carusb I (and the people in my photo club) are stunned by the blacks I get from my P700.
@bosak @carusb I’ve always been pleased wit the B&W prints I’ve gotten off my Epson 3880, and now the P900. Do you use AWB with your B&W prints?
@tomnorthfilm @carusb lol until you mentioned it, I'd never heard of AWB! It's on my list of things to investigate, thank you!
@bosak @carusb I think AWB makes a bigger difference with the dye based printers.
