What a surprise.

"Brazilian influencer who defended US immigration crackdown arrested by ICE"

Is self-harm a thing in some South American cultures? It sure seems like it's a thing sometimes...

As @wendynather said in one of my previous face-eating-leopard posts:

It boggles the mind. Again.

Data point: Some folks think all "illegals" (I hate that word, but they use it) are criminals because being here illegally is a crime. They are wrong. The most common reason why a person is in the US unlawfully is that they entered legally under a visa that has since expired. Remaining in the US with an expired visa is, in fact, illegal. But it is NOT a crime. (Such a person can be deported, but they are not, just be being here, a criminal.)

@Professor_Stevens @mmiasma @wendynather These are the same people who think "criminal" is a race rather than a behavior.

@wollman @mmiasma @wendynather

Which will make it interesting to hear what this idiot says about his own arrest. "Failure to appear" is not a crime in a civil matter (you can be held in contempt for it, but it's not a crime).
