Well deserved. You’re paid to work, writing grants, emails and classes is your fucking job.

Now, it’s obvious for anyone that the academic picture in Northern Europe is one of cronyism and nepotism, so it’s rarely the actually competent and hard working scientists that end up progressing in their career. Playing politics (and sucking the right dicks) takes time away from the bench. What I’m wondering is how can someone be a professor and tech illiterate to the point of making this big of a fuck up. Also, why wasn’t he sacked? Oh, right, he has connections in npg so it’s good for the University’s impact factor and citation rating.
