Calling all audiophobes!

I'm looking for a new audio interface to sit underneath my computer monitor.

I was using the Behringer UM 18-20 until yesterday, when it started giving me static and RF noise.

Ideally, I'm looking for something with at least 4 line-in channels and 4 XLR inputs. It must be USB, and fairly accessible.

If you know of something in a decent price range, no higher than $500, I'd be interested to know more. Thanks.

@payown @ItsJustGenoJ what about something like the maci 16 channel? smile. sure you would have way more XLR than you need, but still it couled work. I have the 12 channel of this board, and for the most part I do like it, and yes, it has a USB port on it. I get mine threw zzounds.com and I think my 12 channel was 350, and I think I paid around 50 a month when I got it, but I could be wrong. it is at least worth looking into. I think for me the down side to the board I have is I don't have enough sending things. I have teamtalk going threw the control room, but sadly that is mono. I don't know why, but there you go. I don't want a digital board at all. I don't use the USB port on minek, but it is there. if you find something good I would be interested. I have one microphone that is XLR, and I think four soundcards, plus my raspberry pi that has my ASL node on it. the raspberry pi is hooked into a mono microphone thing, but that is ok, because it is just talking on there, so it can be mono, but I just don't have quite enough sends on this board for what I need.

@JamminJerry @payown Jerry, I am VERY familiar with Mackie. I used to have a Mackie Pro FX8 v2. Upgraded it back in 2021 for a Yamaha 12 MG-XU. I'm not looking for a mixer, though. I'm looking for an audio interface. It's sole purpose is to translate analog into digital signals. Because of the non-workability of my Behringer UMC 18-20, I'm now forced to use my Yamaha board directly into my PC rather than plug it into an audio interface instead.

I've been looking at the Focusrite 16i16, but I use Sweetwater because of the financing and the candy they add in every order. lol

@ItsJustGenoJ @JamminJerry What about the EVO16?
@payown @JamminJerry So, I reviewed the EVO 16, but it's a bit out of my price range. The EVO 8 isn't, though, and it does have enough in and outputs for what I need it for. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/EVO8--audient-evo-8-usb-audio-interface
