I am looking to migrate a bunch of domains. I am searching for a registrar with good reputation and ethics. Ideally one that is unlikely to be blackmailed by foreign governments to punish individuals with a if-you-want-to-continue-business-in-our-market... threat. I am EU/Germany based. I learned that gandi.net may no longer live up to its former reputation.

Thanks for any pointers and opinions!

@badsamurai Thanks, I am aware of that. Most items I have seen, lead to company pages that boast having a "San Francisco office". It helps filtering.

I was hoping for shared experiences of the I-am-using-X-because-Y type.

I am planning to post the conclusion of the search. So far the only rational choice I can make is to go with a company that I already have a relationship with, solely based on minimizing administrative hassle. But I am also not happy with it.

@mih Yah, the ICANN page isn’t the best, more of a “best we have.” When I was cataloguing North American registrar login/auth URIs, almost half redirected to another.

I’ve just started on the European ones.

Does anyone have suggestions for #domain #registrars #hosters that support .eu and .de domains, native / uncomplicated / support independent #dnssec setup and #webhosting for a modular setup? I'm really tired about #hetzner and #scaleway. hetzner implemented my ds records and after some days it got deleted again 😂 scaleways api is not what I wish for and the support asks me questions I already answered. please give me suggestions that support my autonomy and does make me shout fuck off 🙏🏻🙃
