@marble @nblr completely agree. I recently took 20m to research and install a local speech to text model to not have to listen to a 15m voice message.

@hhf @marble @nblr yeah I just wish they would integrate a small whisper model or the like to offer privacy preserving transcription within the app.

Transcription - and the associated validation of correctness - should be something the sender does.

(There are a few people I'm willing to receive voice messages from, because I know they'd only do it when it's unavoidable or they're impaired somehow.)
