The Bean, Chicago.
I'll be in Chicago late next week for @[email protected] . Not sure if I will be able to get back downtown for the Bean
212. #photography From the ill fated Oregon Trip, A view down the Columbia River Valley Gorge. A landmark popular with locals is visible on the next cliff over.
I should try and reprocess some of the photos that survived over again like this and see if I can improve them with better editing skills
214. #photography Fall is so pretty in Minnesota, isn't it? And a road into the frame shot. The figure is my friend Mike, this was a visit to the Minnesota Landscape Arbroetum.
218. #photography Oregon State Capitol. I didn't linger, because there were a host of conservative activists protesting around that day and I felt unsafe.
221. Here's another Bison picture, but in a different park (TRNP). The non plussed way it's looking at me (I am in a car, to be clear) amuses me. Much more pleasant than my next meeting with a Bison...but that's another story #photography
234. #photography Smith Rock State Park, a panorama. And to think while I was taking this photo,. some idiot damaged *both* sides of my car...and left no note.
238. #photography The dock at the Japanese Exclusion Memorial on Bainbridge Island showing footprints...showing that most of those taken from the island to the camps never returned home.
246 #photography a small cascade on the Blue EArth river, a tributary of the Minnesota River. It's a bit hard to get to and there really isn't a park, its a spot on the road.
245. Obelisk on the Thames #photography. This is one of the four rescued when the Aswan Dam was built. One of them is in NYC, seen that many times. Saw this one in London in 2014. One more is in Paris, the last is in Cairo
252. #photography gooseberry falls, the lower and middle falls. The classic, quintessential waterfall of Minnesota. Free to visit, about an hour north of Duluth. Also #waterfallwednesday
