I’m looking for something like this TOPDON TC004 Mini Thermal Imaging Camera [https://ibb.co/BKr9NnxP], except ideally I’d like one that runs on (rechargeable) AA batteries. Does such a device exist? ?? It comes with a rechargeable battery.

I looking for one where the battery is not built-in so that if the battery ever goes bad, I don’t have to discard the entire device. My thinking is if I find one that runs on AA batteries, then I can use my existing fleet of rechargeable AAs.

That is also depending on your budget.

The Bosch infrared camera fits your needs, but the price is high. It has ‘normal’ Bosch battery packs, rechargable and swappable.

Pictures have a good quality (still small, it’s an infrared camera after all). But the calibration time is quite long and happens often, especially when the outside temperature changes a lot (going inside/outside). Annoying, but probably necessary.
