The old Richmond Town Hall snapped earlier today and, in the last image, as it appeared in a mid-1930s guide to the former Borough of Richmond. Designed by W. J. Ancell in the "Elizabethan Renaissance" style, it opened in 1893.
I have a soft spot for the nearby former Dickins & Jones store which opened in around 1970. Per Pevsner it “disagreeably disrupted” the scale of the street - well, everyone’s a critic.
