Simpler times [vintage clothing iron] - programming.dev

Got fascinated and wanted to share. Found at a local thrift store. I can’t stop salivating at the fact that the terminals are exposed. Pure simplicity. Just a - probably - high resistance chunk of metal and some electricity. Unless there was a protective housing for the terminals that perhaps fell off at some point. Some pictures from a reverse image search do suggest that.

I suspect a “kettle plug” type connector fits right over those - so they would be covered in use.

It would be 121 Ω by Ohm’s law!
