Ha, my notifications right now

I guess I should finally make an updated version of my "how enthusiasts brands will betray you" video

@Techaltar that video being 8 years ago makes me feel really old. I remember watching it when I was a teen just getting into tech. But it still holds up great btw
@Techaltar speaking of enthusiast brands, do you think the same goes for Fairphone?
@rominator I'm interested to hear what you think about them
@Techaltar I dont think that many people care about keeping their phone for 8 years. Majority that buys phones based on price to specs ratio wouldn't buy it. Looks like they are stuck with enthusiasts, who would buy a mid range phone for 600 eur.
@rominator @Techaltar Then how could they detach from it? Sticking to their niche is still better than 'going pro' with a phone that would betray their base, but offer nothing to the general audience (unless you count being from the EU which is another niche on its own). It's not 2014 anymore, you can't just 'give it a try' when it comes to (re)creating a phone brand.
They could, if they were out of their minds, but they know the trade. Any product made by them would still be uncompetitive in pure price to performance compared to anything Chinese brands sell.
@Techaltar It was nice to see you both from 8 years ago 😄
@Techaltar It’s great you are helping small indie creators like these 😁
