@weelibrarian Wow, that is an intimidating job posting. I haven't seen that many bullet points for qualifications in a very long time. A cataloging grantwriter with publishing experience.

@weelibrarian Great comeback! It just goes against the grain of what we have learned about who applies for jobs and how people find their way to seeing themselves in the role.
@daskey honestly, i'd love to see more cross-pollination among the work done by librarians. Researchers are more interdisciplinary and i think it wouldn't hurt librarians to know more rather than silo like we do, but it's a lot. as it is, i often need a team of folks to support researchers.
@weelibrarian That's a really good way of framing something we both see as an opportunity. How can we best invite people into our orgs that can grow that capacity in themselves? I tend to care more about aptitude and flexibility in candidates than I do about formal qualifications, not that all of these don't have roles to play.
@daskey willingness to learn and grow is definitely key. research is changing and we'll need to too
