@EUCommission In the Netherlands we're slowly approaching 4th of Mei, the yearly memorial of the death. Last year a Neo-fascist member of parliament was allowed to be present at this memorial and in the spotlights. Besides that an activist was not allowed to protest to that anywhere near. Roma and Sinti had their death memorial on another day.

Do we learn from the past ? Do we want to learn ?

If we do not learn from the past why do we keep on having these yearly memorials and these daily photos of Auschwitz memorial on Mastodon boosted by many people ?

Dutch government and Dutch companies are complicit in the ongoing genocide, starvation, torturing and dehumanization of the Palestinian people. But since decades it is economy and profits first in the Netherlands. The Netherlands is by far the top trader number one in Europe when it comes to trading goods with the terrorist state of Israel. The false idea that Israel is the only place safe for Jews is used as a cover to continue profiting, ethnic cleansing, racism and exploitation.

And this is about politicians which ought to represent the people. But do they ? Or do they represent the lobby groups, climate change deniers and the weapon industry ?
