@viticci Indeed.

Businessmen do businessmen things. But with this corporate history, he could have chosen to have more important appointments or something. SOME.THING. Anything. Geez.

@viticci i really would like Relay to tone down the “Cook is just doing what any CEO is supposed to do”. Specifically that was the Jason/Dan take after the gold trophy they gave him. (I understand your piece here criticizes him - thank you!)

Following this conclusion to its end gives you IBM supporting the holocaust with tabulation machines. And we’re already there with the tacit support of ICE by the removal of any warning apps to their activity.

Giving everyone the free pass to do anything to support the stock price (it’s his job!) is no different than the agents getting a free pass to do theirs (it’s their job!)

Apple and google are literally bigger than the governments, at this point. They don’t have to concede.

@raineer @viticci The special irony with Cook in particular is that he has spoken up in the past about how important his values are for him, and how much he lives by the words of Dr Martin Luther King etc etc. Such a complete hypocrite.

@viticci «When in Rome, do as the Romans do»

You don't want the mad king to tariff the fuck out of your company.

@viticci Poor Tim. You couldn’t force me to watch that with a gun to my head — which is essentially what he has.
@viticci Maybe the new AirTag can help finding his spine and decency.

@viticci

By courting the madman on the throne on the day of the execution, Cook has done irreparable damage to Apple's reputation.

His actions do not represent the vast majority of Apple employees, or Apple customers.

I would also argue that it goes directly against the interests of shareholders. He devalued the brand.

Moral clarity does not work against business interests. Quite the opposite.

Cook needs to resign.
