Today, Bulgaria adopts the euro as its official currency. πŸ’Ά

A new currency, a stronger bond with Europe.

Travel, work, and business will become easier and more connected.

With Schengen now fully in place, this means more freedom, more opportunities, and a shared future.

Progress is not a dream. It is a choice. And Bulgaria has chosen it.

Let's keep moving forward together. πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡§πŸ‡¬

@EUCommission Sorry Bulgaria. May your trajectory not be like Grece, Croatia and the rest!

@EUCommission

I don't understand why people are so negative here. The common currency space has had considerable advantages for all countries involved (and especially the smaller ones, think the Baltic states).

@christianbeier @EUCommission

Because thats opening complete new gates for money laundering and dark games that simple citizens like you and me shouldn't have any idea about.

Since the undemocratic hateful Qatar corruption scandal at the European Parliament, I'm convinced that there is more going on there. With Bulgaria opening up the Eurozone, I guess it will have a negative effect on the already weakened European economy.
