That was the same day I went live on instagram to share some details about the violent day after people dispersed. The camera was pointed at my face as I was walking and talking in downtown portland, when a black SUV with far right assholes in it drove by and threw an IED right behind me while I was filming. To this day we don’t know who exactly did it even though the car was captured on camera, and we were in the most surveilled area of downtown right by the federal courthouse and central precinct and jail. The only follow up was a sergeant with portland police bureau DM’ing me on twitter asking if I had the remnants of the IED and telling me to “stay safe.” I did not reply. No other follow up or attempts at reaching out to anyone or investigating.

This is common when it comes to violence perpetrated by the far right.
