💚 Today is the International Day of Clean Energy.

- Nearly half of Europe's electricity came from renewables in 2024.

- We saved €120 billion through energy efficiency measures.

- And in June 2025, solar became the EU's largest power source for the first time in history.

Today we reaffirm our commitment to clean energy over imported fossil fuels, and to become the first climate-neutral continent by 2050.

@EUCommission
Do it by 2027.
@ki @EUCommission it takes the time it takes
@uriel @EUCommission
time we don't have. fuck the fossil industry
@ki @EUCommission here is another who thinks 9 women can do a baby in one month... it takes the time it takes. Like everything. If you had a job before, you knew.
@uriel @EUCommission
you're naive and privileged. Meanwhile, ~2 billion people have to fear for their existence because of decreased flow from the Himalaya's glaciers alone. That's about a quarter of this planet's human population and only one of the many consequences of climate change.
What's stopping us is our audacity and ignorance. We could stop stockbreeding today and cut almost half of our emissions. But we don't because we don't give a shit.
@uriel @EUCommission
and none of this is new information. We knew about the disastrous consequences of climate change and its causes 50 years ago. 2020 became 2025, 2025 became 2030, 2030 now becomes 2050. We're above 1.5 K difference already and we'll likely exceed 3 K difference by 2050, just because we can't be assed.

@ki @EUCommission

no, we didn't . 50 years ago there was no computing power enough to run any model.

Some people was trying to terorize the population , just to enter politics and pay their bills.

Tell me, fearmonger: are you paying your bills, doing this?

@uriel the horse you’re on is so high that it runs risk of colliding with the ISS

@ki @EUCommission

I think you should read the science you are mentioning, before of mentioning it. The idea of two billion people at risk before of 2027 is just ridicolous, stupid, and FAKE.

Clearly a FAKE. And if you had ANY idea of what the panel said, you won't sell this bovine output around.

When you see a school bus, next time, just try to get on board. No wonder Greta skipped school.
