@jmb Do not repay evil with evil, but repay evil with good.
Did you know the symbol you currently use in your profile could be turned right-side up and straightened out to be the cross of Jesus, who died not for one nation only, but for the entire world? "For God so loved the world", that he gave this sacrifice for us on the cross. If you want to spread peace, I recommend you share Jesus and not the symbols of this fallen world.
Two things...
1. I'm Jewish, so I don't believe Jesus "died for my sins." I do think he was a great spiritual teacher but not a blood sacrifice. (we Jews quit believing in the absurd idea that God's bloodlust demands blood sacrifice a long, long time ago). So please don't use that rhetoric with me.
2. Your claim about the origin of the peace symbol is absolutely not true. The symbol was created in the Nuclear disarmament movement in 1958 in the UK. --- see https://web.archive.org/web/20140201233916/http://www.bradford.ac.uk/library/libraries-and-collections/special-collections/collections/nuclear-disarmament-symbol-drawings/
If you were Jewish, then I recommend you point people to the God of the Jews: The LORD God Our Salvation (Yahweh Yeshua)
יְהוָה יְשׁוּעָה
I also do the same, with the understanding that Yeshua is the Hebrew name for Jesus. He and the Father are one. He Himself made the sacrifice for us.
Regarding your "peace" symbol, other sources call it a death rune, used long before the nuclear disarmament movement. Can you defend the Nazi use of the symbol (minus the circle)?
"Other courses" - what sources?
Again, I'm not interested in your evangelical Christian theology. You can believe in a irrational deity that demands blood to satiate his blood lust.
I do not.
@jmb
As a self-proclaimed Jew, what are you interested in, then? Does Yahweh Yeshua make it anywhere in your top 10? What actually qualifies you to be a Jew?
Here are two sources for you, with full documentation, at:
http://yacy.john1126.com/BlogComments.html?page=676
1. NS årbok 1942, an organizational yearbook
2. Das Kleine Blatt, a publication from May 28, 1942 in Vienna, Austria
The German below says, regarding the image with the caption "TOD", the Todesrune is: "the death rune, which depicts the person with lowered arms, as a return to Mother Earth."
@john1126 Since this is Shabbat (a time when I try to avoid senseless arguments), I will not be continuing this conversation with you.
Peace to you.
@jmb Yes, this is the sabbath for me as well, but every day is a good day to talk about Yahweh Yeshua.... especially on the sabbath. I asked you about your faith. Do you not know that Elohim will require you to make a public declaration of faith in Him before you may enter His kingdom? Being lazy on the sabbath gets no one into heaven.
I have prayed for you.... for your good of course.
I don't engage in conversation with people who are engaged in #proselytism either.

I will be blocking you since it is clear that you do not respect boundaries.
