COSMIC community Frosted Glass experiments with WIP code. Still a long way to go but you can get an idea of where we're headed.
@carlrichell hot damn that looks good, would love to try that on my install
@carlrichell nice community effort!

@carlrichell I foresee so many COSMIC screenshots coming to r/unixporn in 2026 lol.

Looks absolutely sublime, and I can’t wait to incorporate it into my own libcosmic app.

@carlrichell Much less distracting - thank you!

@carlrichell Please consider the light theme as the default light theme, because - sorry - the current light theme is kinda ugly...

I miss the brown from the previous cosmic theme. That was a nice colour touch.

@carlrichell I really like this one. Not distracting, but very cool looking.
@carlrichell looking forward to having this on my desktop! 😍
@carlrichell @edfloreshz oh man, this is so cool! Can't wait to have this on me desktop πŸ˜‹
@carlrichell this looks suuuuuper clean
@carlrichell These are looking a lot nicer from a UX/readability standpoint than the first mockups! I like the idea of some modern dynamics, but not at the cost of clarity. These code examples assure me you all are aware of the accessibility implications and are refining the approach. Can't wait!
@carlrichell Now if only we had a Wayland protocol for communicating a window border radius for use with ext-background-effect β€‹
@carlrichell This is an existential crisis for me 😱
Should I keep using plasma or move to COSMIC?
@carlrichell Great Work . only problem i have mouse jitterness while moving in desktop but not inside any applications πŸ₯²
@carlrichell This looks so sleek! But, and not to get off-topic, it'd be nice to see some alt text when you upload these pictures; something as simple as "Screenshot of COSMIC settings with Frosted Glass enabled" usually works.
