We are opening an investigation into Grok because we believe that X may have breached the DSA.

We have seen over the last weeks and months antisemitic content, non-consensual deepfakes of women, and child sexual abuse material.

In Europe, no company will make money by violating our fundamental rights.

@EUCommission

As usual, you are posting such big-mouthed rants against #X and #Grok exclusively here on the #Fediverse, but keep your mouth shut on your X account.

You're just pathetic cowards, fooling no one anymore.

@petrikas

LOL.

#Fediverse: "We are opening an investigation into Grok because we believe that X may have breached the DSA.

We have seen over the last weeks and months antisemitic content, non-consensual deepfakes of women, and child sexual abuse material.

In Europe, no company will make money by violating our fundamental rights." (emphasis added)

#X (17 mins ago): "We have launched a new formal investigation against X under the Digital Services Act (DSA).

It will assess whether the company properly assessed and mitigated risks associated with the deployment of Grok's functionalities into X in the EU." (emphasis added)

@petrikas

You can post risk-free links by using xcancel.com, e.g., in this case:

https://xcancel.com/EU_Commission/status/2015780627178565985#m

@katzenberger If I open that in a private session, it still loads up the comments (also, that's exactly the link I shared)

@petrikas

Ooops, I see. I'm using a browser plugin that replaces links in the background, so I didn't realize you were already using it – sorry.

Not sure what you meant by "still loads up the comments"? What am I missing? [In case you meant the tone of the replies: fair point]

@katzenberger I think there's a setting in xcancel specifically to hide the reply tweets. But it isn't ticked by default.

So opening an xcancel link in a fresh session will still load the replies, as far as I managed to figure out.

@petrikas

True. Didn't realize that you meant the tone of the replies. I get why you prefer to use a CW, although personally I only use them if my own post or the tile of the link contains something I would not want to be featured here.

@katzenberger Well, X has no moderation. At any point in time a reply might appear... I'd rather my followers (or anyone) not click the link.
