Wait a minute, why is #proton on all the socials EXCEPT #mastodon (but it is on Twitter, BSKY, Threads, Whatsapp, Telegram)?

Also, I saw they have a notes app (Standarad Notes) that is apparantly run from the US (and not Europe). What is up with that? I joined (and trust) Proton as a secure and privacy-by-design alternatieves to Big Tech.

@legocas RE Standard Notes: they acquired the company a while ago (https://proton.me/blog/proton-standard-notes-join-forces).

From what I've heard, mostly for their expertise which they're using to develop Proton Docs & Proton Sheets.

I had premium SN. Would not recommend. Broke on Android after 3 months and no one seemed interested in fixing.

You can get E2EE with #Joplin either for free or by using their synch service. Joplin is open source for real and welcomes plugin developers.
