Of course Schumer and Jeffries are complicit.
But why is Schumer even in power? Even in the reddest or the bluest states, non-voters could flip things.
But people don't get involved in bloc groups and party groups. People don't run for things. Things would be different if they did.
Voters are less apathetic than non-voters, but most only by a degree. And when elected officials aren't accountable to the voters, they only people they are accountable to are the big donors.
If more people would put themselves forward, even if they didn't win, they might for pols to pay attention
If we could vote our way out of this, they'd take the vote away. Bernie's campaign galvanized the elites to bribe BOTH PARTIES even more. Trump is in office not bc the Dems are powerless, but bc they qwere PAID to allow it.
I'm unable to engage with that level of conspiracy belief. It's at odds with my lifetime of paying attention to politics globally.

I'm talking about how the party leadership and DNC are elected. You never address what I say, but you go on about how "the party" controls everything, and that there's a conspiracy between the DNC and RNC.
Do they conspire to prevent people from voting in party caucuses? Because I feel like that would be newsworthy.

Yes they do and the DNC conspires to co opt the message, then quash it--EVRY SINGLE person inspired by Bernie to ruin for Congress on #M4all WON THEIR RACE, every single one--and Dems quashed the movement entirely bc todays DNC is a Republican party--voting blue gets you GOP policy
Who elects the DNC members? Voters, either directly or indirectly.
If you're entitled to vote in the US, you pick the some of the members of the DNC. Either by voting, or by letting other people vote. You also elect your state party exec, which provides 2 people to the DNC.
You know who does turn out? Black women. But the Dem voting is weighted to be more representative. So if a white man shows up, his vote is going to be over-weighted to reflect the opinions of white men.
The system is designed to help progressive white men. But they'd rather focus on conspiracies.
