@lproven yep. In Sacramento, CA (my hometown) you've now got people jumping out of cars to do the beating cluster ten to one on the street with baseball bats (not ICE, just "regular" people). It seems to be happening most everywhere and yeah. @jwz

@chillicampari @lproven @jwz You can't leave such people on the street. They don't have "qualified immunity" or other such crap to hide behind. Pull them into an assault charge and try to get them in prison.

I don't live there anymore but still read the news and subscribe to the subreddit. This kind of thing has happened before (more common in the 80s-90s) but it was usually at night and targeted towards the punk/club scenes.

@hackillu one of the issues is that when the police get involved, the people reporting it and the victim(s) are just as likely to get charged also or at least harrassed. That's happened to a few people I know.

(edit to add- I rewatched the video, it looks more like metal flag poles than baseball bats but that's not really too much different)
