Yay my stickers arrived! I’ll be sticking them on every computer. (Thanks @justjanne for the design)
@jamesoff @justjanne i'm very interested in the physical condition of one of these stickers in like 12 years lol

@tyzbit @jamesoff While I can't speak to the quality of these prints, and I don't expect any of them to last that long, my own prints typically survive 24-36 months outdoors with constant sun & rain exposure, and after that time they only start cracking at the edges.

So who knows, maybe some will actually hold up that long?

@justjanne @tyzbit other stickers I've had from this company (StickerMule) have been pretty hard-wearing for indoor use (i.e. stuck to laptops or people's building passes), but I don't have any data for how they might hold up past a few years :)
@jamesoff @tyzbit tbh, while Stickermule has relatively good quality, the reason I ended up printing my own was that I didn't want to give money to the political extremists that run Stickermule (and frequently reject sticker orders they disagree with)
@justjanne @tyzbit oh hmm :( do you have a recommendation for another provider?
@jamesoff @justjanne I'm sure if they're indoors 24/7 and not touched/scraped against a lot they'll be pretty intact. But I'd love to see the sticker slapped on the side of a farming combine lol
@tyzbit @justjanne both as a test of wear resistance, and as a commentary on how much computing power is in combines nowadays
