Once more, like clockwork, someone crept into my comments on LinkedIn and posted:
“The reality is simple: if you choose not to engage with these [agentic slop] tools, you will fall behind, and you will do so quickly.”
Even if this were true…so what?
If the tools are so amazing and magical and rapidly improving, just learn them later if you have to! In a couple of years even. Take a few weeks, get trained and up to speed, and boom you’re in.
“Falling behind” is a myth peddled by weak minds.
@jaredwhite Are peoples’ memories really so short they can’t spot the pattern?
How many tools and frameworks have we been shouted at about “needing” to learn to “not fall behind” have already come and gone from this industry?
It’s never been true that you have to chase the new shiny object.
@josh The funny thing is you also have people arguing that AI critics don't have a valid point because they're only familiar with tools from early 2025. You have to constantly reevaluate and relearn the latest tools, apparently, to have formed any reasonable opinion about them.
It's almost like…you can just ignore all of it until some future time when maybe you can't. 🤣
