Dirk Strider's Inability To Experience Whimsyi just started this almost 3 hour long youtube video talking about this AI slop book and this youtuber who is dissecting it said they were planning on reading it for their bookclub but it got pulled from shelves before everyone could buy a copy. 50 pages in they said "im so glad we didnt read this for our bookclub they would have raked me over the coals" and im like. what? what kind of vetting are you doing for these books? are you doing bare minimum vibes based selections?
then they talk about how the cover initially looked gorgeous but then they read that it was a stolen painting copy pasted from pinterest and they "decided to actually look at it closer" and realized it was a very low-res PNG. and then they said "i dont know how they thought they could get away with this" i do!! its because of fuckers like you!!!!!! you didnt notice until you READ THAT IT WAS STOLEN AND THEN SHOVED THE COVER IN YOUR FACE. MAYBE YOU SHOULD LEARN TO BE MORE DISCERNING
also they said they picked the book because its about a poor girl who gets groomed by this rich man into TFing into a literal dog and "thats the exact kind of dark story my bookclub would enjoy" jesus christ almighty
you know theres probably at least a few dozen extremely well regarded and time tested novels about men taking advantage of women. you dont have to read brand new self-published slop. but then again those novels might not be horny enough in their dissection of psychological torture of women for their tastes
